Ingredientes

  • 4 c. Cherries Tart, Pitted
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking Pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 3/4 c. Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 c. I Cannot Believe It's Not Butter - Light
  • 1 Tbsp. Tapioca Quick Cooking
  • 1 x Egg Very Well Beaten
  • 1/3 c. Water
  • 1/4 c. Lowfat 1% Lowfat milk
  • 1 Tbsp. Butter Light Cream
  • 1 c. All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Granulated Sugar

Direcciones

  1. Preheat the oven to 400F.Combine the cherries, the first measure of sugar, the tapioca and the water in a saucepan.
  2. Let stand for 5 min, stirring occasionally. Cook, stirring steadily, till slightly thickened and bubbly. Add in the first measure of butter.
  3. Set aside, keeping the filling hot.
  4. Stir the flour, the second measure of sugar, the baking pwdr and the salt together.
  5. Use a pastry blender to cut in the second measure of butter till the mix resembles coarse crumbs.
  6. Combine the egg(s) and lowfat milk.
  7. Add in to the dry ingredients all at once.
  8. Stir just to moisten.
  9. Turn the warm fruit filling into a (8"x1 1/2") round baking dish or possibly (1 1/2 qt casserole.
  10. Spoon the biscuit topping over, forming mounds, one for each serving. Bake about 20 min.
  11. Serve hot with light cream alongside.
  12. Yields 6 Servings
