Receta Cherry Pecan Bacon Cheese Ball
Game Day Recipe~
This is one of my favorite dips. The combination of flavors is delicious~ You can serve this yummy dip with pretzels, crackers, celery sticks and/or carrot sticks. You will definitely score a Touchdown with this dip~
- 2- 8 oz packages cream cheese, room temperature
- 4 T butter
- 4 T white vinegar
- 4 T sugar
- 1/4 cup minced onion
- 1/4 cup minces green pepper
- 1/3 cup minced dried cherries
- 1/3 cup chopped toasted pecans*
1/4 cup chopped crispy bacon, save 1 T for garnish.
In a small saucepan combine butter, vinegar and sugar. Boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and cool. In a medium bowl beat cream cheese and cooled vinegar mixture. Beat until creamy. Add minced onion and minced green pepper. Beat until well combined. Refrigerate
2 hours. Fold in minced dried cherries, chopped toasted pecans. Shape mixture in a ball. Place on serving plate and garnish with 1 T reserved chopped bacon.
How to toast nuts: Place nuts/pecans in a small saute' pan, do not add oil. Cook nuts/pecans over medium heat until light brown, stirring constantly.Be careful, nuts/pecans burn quickly. Remove from heat and cool.
