Ingredientes

  • 1 can tomato sauce (28 ounce.)
  • 1 x 16 oz can sauce with
  • 1 can (6 0z) tomato paste
  • 6 ounce water (or possibly less for thicker sauce)
  • 1/2 tsp salt (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic pwdr
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tsp fennel seed
  • 2 tsp onion pwdr
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar

Direcciones

  1. Mix all the ingredients and allow to set for at least 30 min before use. The Fennel Seed is a key to the flavor!! Fresh herbs in season replace the Italian seasoning. Finely chopped fresh onion can replace the onion pwdr. Ken's favorite - omit the salt and add in a few minced anchovy fillets or possibly 2 tsp. of anchovy paste.
  2. This sauce is thick and spreads well.
