Ingredientes

  • 1 c. Dry chick peas
  • 6 c. -Cool water
  • 2 x Onions,thinly sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt

Direcciones

  1. Lemon juice or possibly wine vinegar
  2. Wash and soak chick p[eas overnight in water to cover. The next day, rinse and drain. In a 4-qt saucepan, bring 6 c. of water to a boil and add in the chick peas.
  3. Remove the froth, then add in the onion and extra virgin olive oil.
  4. Simmer till tender, about one to two hrs. Add in salt at the end and warm water (not cool), if needed to make more stock.
  5. Serve warm with lemon juice or possibly vinegar.
  6. Makes six servings.
