- Wonderful source of folate (from the legumes), that is important during the first trimester of pregnancy, and to prevent heart disease.
- PREPARATION:1. Combine all ingredients except chicken in Dutch oven, crockpot, or possibly large pot.
- Heat to a boil.
- Add in chicken.
- Lower heat, simmer for 25 min.
- OPTIONAL: Add in 3/4 c. elbow, spaghetti, or possibly bow pasta during last 15 min.
