%20and%20browned%20those%20a%20little%20in%20the%20same%20pan.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELet%20the%20proteins%20cool%20just%20a%20bit%20while%20I%20rolled%20out%20the%20puff%20pastry-then%20made%20my%20little%20'packages'-chicken,%20then%20the%20Canadian%20Bacon,%20then%20I%20cut%20the%20LC%20cheese%20wedge%20in%20half%20and%20put%20that%20on%20top%20of%20the%20bacon,%20then%20wrapped%20it%20all%20up%20in%20the%20puff%20pastry.%20I%20tried%20to%20make%20it%20look%20pretty%20and%20didn't%20really%20succeed.%20(My%20Mom%20always%20told%20me,%20if%20you%20must%20suck,%20at%20least%20succeed-*eyeroll*)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20put%20those%20'packets'%20in%20the%20oven%20(on%20a%20baking%20sheet%20lined%20with%20a%20piece%20of%20parchment)%20at%20whatever%20temp%20the%20puff%20pastry%20box%20told%20me..I%20think%20like%20425%20until%20the%20pastry%20was%20a%20pretty%20golden%20color.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhile%20those%20baked-%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20saute%20pan%20was%20a%20nummy%20little%20landmine%20of%20goodness...so%20I%20added%20some%20(I'm%20guessing%20here%20at%20maybe%201/2-3/4cup)%20of%20chicken%20broth%20to%20'deglaze'-erm...scrape%20up%20the%20bits.%20But%20then%20it%20just%20tasted%20ok...so%20I%20added%20a%20splash%20(again,%20guessing%20maybe%201/8-1/4%20cup)%20half%20and%20half%20to%20give%20it%20body%20(like%20I%20knew%20what%20I%20was%20doing).%20But%20it%20still%20didn't%20have%20much%20taste.%20That's%20when%20I%20went%20a%20little%20crazy%20and%20decided%20to%20try%20to%20make%20a%20Honey%20Mustard%20gravy.%20Which%20sounds%20terrible%20and%20sick.%20But%20I%20thought%20it%20sounded%20good%20with%20the%20quasi%20Chicken%20Cordon%20Blue/Bleu.%20Stick%20with%20me%20here...at%20least%20if%20you%20like%20honey%20mustard%20with%20chicken...if%20not...just%20thicken%20this%20as%20is%20and%20pour%20over%20your%20chicken%20packets%20and%20be%20done...if%20you%20DO%20like%20the%20idea...add%20(again..guessing%201/4%20cup?)%20both%20spicy%20mustard%20and%20honey%20to%20the%20gravy%20and%20whisk.%20Mine%20didn't%20thicken%20up%20like%20I%20wanted%20it%20to..so%20I%20did%20a%20Beurre%20manie'.%20That's%20about%20the%20fanciest%20thing%20I%20did..and%20I%20think%20I%20learned%20it%20off%20the%20Food%20Network%20years%20ago%20(I%20think%20Giada?)%20and%20I%20prefer%20it%20to%20cornstarch.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20topped%20my%20out%20of%20the%20oven%20chicken%20packages%20with%20this%20gravy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20was%20good.%20That's%20what%20I'm%20saying.%20And%20it%20wasn't%20just%20ME%20saying.%20My%20Mother-in-law%20basically%20had%20a%20food-gasm%20AT%20the%20table,%20and%20my%20Father-in-law%20was%20just%20as%20equally%20impressed.%20My%20Husband%20ate%20it,%20then%20said%20he%20didn't%20like%20it.%20As%20in%20he%20ate%20TWO%20of%20the%20packages,%20then%205%20minutes%20later%20tells%20me..I%20didn't%20really%20like%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%20If%20I%20depended%20on%20him%20for%20recipe%20creativity%20I'd%20never%20get%20anywhere.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%204%20over%201%20wins-I%20liked%20it,%20as%20did%20the%203%20in-laws%20(my%20bro-in-law%20was%20there%20too)%20that%20were%20at%20dinner.%20So%20we%20win!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20apologize%20for%20not%20having%20'exacts'%20for%20you...but%20I%20can%20tell%20you%20it%20was%20exactly%20delicious!%20And...I'm%20thinking%20well..I%20did%20it%20semi-healthy%20too..go%20me!%20:)%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
