%20trying%20to%20figure%20out%20what%20you're%20going%20to%20possibly%20come%20up%20with?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWell%20that%20was%20me....I%20knew%20I%20was%20making%20something%20%22chicken%22%20(that's%20a%20no%20brainer)....but%20I%20wanted%20to%20use%20artichoke%20hearts%20as%20well.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESure,%20I%20could've%20made%20a%20nice%20creamy%20sauce%20with%20artichokes%20and%20mushroom%20poured%20over%20chicken.%20But%20that%20seemed%20too%20typical.%20And%20that's%20where%20my%20brain%20got%20stuck.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20I%20got%20home%20that%20night,%20my%20first%20issue%20of%20Better%20Homes%20and%20Gardens%20magazine%20had%20arrived,%20with%20my%20%22free%22%20Better%20Homes%20and%20Gardens%20All-Time%20Favorites%202010%20Cookbook.%20I%20got%20coerced%20into%20this%20subscription%20because%20of%20the%20free%20cookbook%20with%20a%20$5.00%201%20year%20commitment.%20How%20could%20I%20not?%20right?%20So%20I%20pulled%20out%20my%20%22cookbook%22%20(and%20I%20use%20that%20term%20loosely)%20which%20contained%20a%20whole%2032%20pages%20(index%20included)%20of%20recipes....2%20per%20page.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut%20hey...it%20was%20FREE!!!%20I'm%20not%20complainin',%20I'm%20just%20sayin'%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20I%20thumbed%20through%20my%20new%20freebee,%20I%20discovered%20this%20recipe,%20which%20happened%20to%20include%20my%202%20main%20ingredients....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EChicken%20and%20Artichoke%20Hearts!%20WOW!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20have%20to%20warn%20you...there%20are%20a%20ton%20of%20ingredients....19!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBetter%20Homes%20and%20Gardens%20Chicken%20Florentine%20Artichoke%20Bake%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20your%20oven%20to%20350'F%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20medium%20skillet,%20melt%201%20tablespoon%20butter%20over%20medium%20heat%20and%20cook%20the%20onions%20until%20tender,%20stirring%20occasionally%20(about%205%20minutes).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20large%20bowl,%20combine%20the%20eggs,%20milk,%20italian%20seasoning,%20red%20pepper,%20salt%20and%20pepper.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E(I%20look%20at%20this%20and%20I'm%20not%20sure%20if%20I%20see%20a%20flooded%20swamp,%20or%20if%20I%20wanna%20look%20for%20caricatures%20in%20the%20spices)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EStir%20in%20the%20chicken,%20artichokes%20and%20spinach%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELovin%20that%20color!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThen%20stir%20in%20the%20cooked%20pasta,%20onion,%20jack%20(mozzarella)%20cheese,%20dried%20tomatoes%20and%202%20tablespoons%20of%20parmesan%20cheese%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20covered%20for%2020%20minutes%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMeanwhile...in%20a%20small%20bowl,%20combine%20the%20bread%20crumbs,%20remaining%202%20tablespoons%20of%20parmesan%20cheese,%20melted%20butter%20and%20paprika.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20this%20is%20when%20I%20decided%20(and%20not%20soon%20enough)%20that%20this%20dish%20needed%20more.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20know,%20right?%20Seriously?%20with%20that%20long-ass%20list%20of%20ingredients?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20I%20removed%20the%20pan%20from%20the%20oven%20and%20saw%20it%20was%20on%20the%20dry%20side....and%20the%20flavors%20smelled%20bland....oooh.%20crud.%20Ok,%20so%20lets%20add%20garlic.%20Quick!%20Oh%20ya,%20maybe%20it%20was%20dry%20cuz%20I%20forgot%20to%20cover%20mine%20when%20I%20baked%20it?%20Damn!%20I%20hate%20when%20I%20miss%20a%20%22minor%22%20detail%20like%20that.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo...sprinkle%20the%20bread%20crumb%20mixture%20over%20the%20casserole%20and%20then%20sprinkle%20the%20garlic%20slivers%20over%20the%20crumbs.%20Continue%20to%20bake,%20uncovered%20this%20time,%20for%2010%20minutes%20or%20until%20golden.%20Let%20stand%20an%20additional%2010%20minutes%20before%20serving.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt's%20beautiful%20and%20has%20some%20wonderful%20ingredients.%20But%20it%20was%20lacking.%20I%20think%20it%20would%20be%20better%20with%20fresh%20spinach%20instead%20of%20frozen.%20Maybe%20marinated%20artichoke%20hearts%20would%20help%20as%20well?%20And%20garlic%20in%20the%20sauce%20for%20sure!!!%20More%20cheese?%20Always!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20dunno.....what%20would%20you%20do%20differently?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOh%20ya...One%20more%20thing...wanna%20a%20chance%20a%20win%20Fresh%20MORELS?!%20Ya,%20so%20do%20I.%20If%20you%20win,%20so%20do%20I...how%20cool%20is%20that?%20Just%20click%20on%20the%20picture%20below%20and%20enter%20to%20win%20your%20(and%20my)%202%20lbs%20of%20Fresh%20Morels.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
