Ingredientes

  • 1/2 pound white mushrooms, quartered
  • 2 med. white onions, each cut into 8 wedges
  • 3 T butter
  • 1/4 pound bacon, diced
  • 1 1/2 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 3/4 inch pcs
  • 1 1/2 T all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. dry white wine
  • 3/4 c. chicken broth/stock
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry thyme leaves
  • 1/2 c. tomato sauce
  • 1 pkg. Pepperidge Farm frzn Patty Shells, baked according to pkg. directions
  • Minced parsley (optional)

Direcciones

  1. In a large frying pan, saute mushrooms and onions in hot butter till golden. Remove from frying pan and set aside. Add in bacon to frying pan and fry till crisp; remove with a slotted spoon and reserve. Add in chicken to frying pan and fry in bacon fat, stirring frequently till well browned. Return mushrooms and onion mix to frying pan and add in reserved bacon and flour; toss till flour disappears. Add in wine, chicken broth/stock, bay leaf, thyme, and tomato sauce. Simmer, covered for 30 min, stirring frequently. Season with salt and pepper. Serve over warm Patty Shells. Sprinkle with parsley if you like.
