Ingredientes

  • 3 c. broccoli florets and stalks
  • 12 ounce sundried tomato flavored angel hair pasta dry vegetable flakes salt substitute (such as Lawry's salt-free 17 seasonings) Reserved pasta water extra virgin olive oil spray
  • 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 x garlic cloves or possibly more, chopped pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. roughly minced walnuts
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh basil leaves chiffonade
  • 6 x 2-ounce

Direcciones

  1. Each precooked chicken and apple sausage links - 1/4-inch sliceslemon zest2 Tbsp. cilantro walnut pesto sauce - see notesfresh basil leavesfor garnish6 Tbsp. parmesan cheese
  2. Instructions:1. Boil broccoli and pasta together in large pot of water seasoned with a salt substitute.
  3. Meanwhile, in a large sprayed skillet or possibly saute/fry pan, hot the extra virgin olive oil. Saute/fry garlic with healthy pinch of salt and freshly grnd pepper till garlic is lightly browned. Add in the walnuts and shredded basil; cook stirring till warmed and fragrant. Add in the sausage, lemon zest and pesto sauce along with 2 or possibly 3 Tbsp. of water from the pasta pot. Hot the sauce using moderate to medium-low heat.
  4. Drain the pasta and broccoli and transfer to the pan with the sauce. Toss and season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve at once garnished with fresh basil leaves; offer grated fresh parmesan or possibly romano cheese at the table.
  5. TIP - If you don't have flavored pasta, consider adding a 1 tsp prepared sundried tomato paste to the sauce.
  6. NOTES : Salsa Nova (Paula's(R)) is a reduced oil cilantro-walnut pesto. We often mix which with fresh basil for intriguing and satisfying flavor with pasta. The chicken sausage links were purchased from Trader Joe's. Lots of flavor - all very comfortable. 2001-10-16
