Receta Chickpeas Tikka Masala
Ingredients:
- Chickpeas – 400 gms, soaked for 1 hour, washed, drained
- Tomatoes – 300 gms, finely chopped, pureed thick
- Onion – 1/4 cup, finely chopped
- Yogurt – 1/4 cup
- Green Chillies – 1/2 tsp, finely chopped
- Ginger – 1 tsp, grated
- Garam Masala Powder – 2 tsp
- Oil – 2 tsp
- Tomato Ketchup – 1/2 tsp
- Coriander Leaves – handful, chopped
- Salt as per taste
Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan over medium flame.
2. Saute the onions until soft, about 3 minutes.
3. Add garam masala powder, tomato ketchup, ginger and green chillies.
4. Add salt and mix well.
5. Simmer for a minute.
6. Add the chickpeas and tomatoes.
7. Reduce flame and cook for 20 minutes.
8. Add the yogurt and coriander leaves.
9. Stir well and remove from flame.
10. Serve with rice or as a side dish to roti or chapati.
