Ingredientes

  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp chili pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 lb top round steak, cut 1 inch thick
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 2 c. minced onions
  • 1 can (16 ounce) tomatoes
  • 1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 x thin slices red and green
  • 1 x bell peppers
  • 1 x parsley

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.In c.,combine flour,salt,chili pwdr and pepper.Trim excess fat from top round steak.Cut into 6 pcs.Place on cutting board;sprinkle with some of the flour mix.With meat mallet,lb. flour mix into meat.Turn meat over and repeat on other side. In 10" skillet over medium high heat,cook meat in warm shortening till well browned on both sides.Remove to hot platter.In meat drippings,cook minced onions till browned.Stir in remaining flour mix. Spoon onion and flour mix into large,shallow casserole.Arrange browned steaks on top.Add in tomatoes and their liquid.Cover and bake 1 1/2 hrs or possibly till meat is fork tender.Spoon off any fat drippings from casserole.Sprinkle top of steaks with shredded cheese.Heat 5 min or possibly till cheese is melted.Makes 6 servings.
