Chili Con Queso - Cheese Dip

Ingredientes

  • 2 lg. onions, minced & cooked till soft
  • 2 T shortening
  • 2 pound Velveeta cheese, cut in 1" cubes
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomatoes, liquid removed & minced
  • 1 (7 ounce) can Ortega green chiles, minced

Direcciones

  1. Precook onions till soft. Drain off excess shortening. Put all ingredients in the top of a double boiler and heat over water till cheese is melted. (The secret to good creamy cheese dip is to cook cheese over low heat.) Serve with chips or possibly tostadas.
