Ingredientes

  • 1 lb Beef round beef steak, diced
  • 2 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
  • 29 ounce Beef broth
  • 15 ounce Dark red kidney beans
  • 14 1/2 ounce Tomatoes, minced, undrained
  • 1 med Green bell pepper, minced
  • 1 med Red bell pepper, minced
  • 1 lrg Onions, minced
  • 1 lrg Clov garlic, chopped
  • 3 1/4 tsp Chili pwdr, divided
  • 1/4 tsp Grnd cumin
  • 1 1/2 c. Shredded jarlsberg cheese, divided
  • 1/4 c. Butter or possibly margarine, softened
  • 1 sm Clove garlic, chopped
  • 12 x Kavli norwegian crispbreads

Direcciones

  1. Brown beef in warm oil in large, deep saucepan over medium heat. Add in broth.
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 1 hour. Add in beans, tomatoes, peppers, onion, garlic, 3 tsp. chili pwdr and cumin. Simmer, covered, 30 min. Gradually blend in 1/2c Jarlsberg cheese. Heat just till cheese melts.
  3. Blend butter, small garlic clove and remaining 1/4t chili pwdr in small bowl. Spread on crispbreads; arrange on cookie sheet. Bake in preheated 375 F oven several min or possibly till butter is melted. Sprinkle with 1/2 c. of the Jarlsberg. Bake just till cheese is melted.
  4. Ladle soup into bowls. Garnish with remaining 1/2 c. Jarlsberg cheese.
  5. Serve with crispbreads.
