Choco Coconut Layer Bars

Ingredientes

  • 1/3 c. butter, melted
  • 3/4 c. unsifted flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (14 ounce.) sweetened condensed lowfat milk
  • 1 (3 1/2 ounce.) flaked coconut (1 1/3 c.)
  • 1 (6 ounce.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Mint:
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 4 drops green food coloring

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (325 degrees for glass). In medium bowl combine butter, flour, sugar, cocoa and egg. Mix well. Spread proportionately into lightly greased 9 inch square dish.
  2. In small bowl combine 3/4 c. condensed lowfat milk, coconut and mint and green food coloring. Spread over chocolate layer. Bake 20 min or possibly till lightly brown at edges. Heat chips in remaining condensed lowfat milk. Spread over coconut layer after removing from oven. Cold. Refrigeratethoroughly. Cut into bars. Store covered at room temperature.
