Chocoflan Bundt Cake

This is hands down one of the best cakes I’ve made in a long time. Maybe I should rephrase that so you don’t think other cakes haven’t been good. I’ll start again.
This is one of my most favored cakes of those I’ve made recently. Better?

%20I%20knew%20it%20was%20time%20to%20bake%20it.%20The%20recipe%20is%20from%20Food%20Network%20and%20at%20first%20glance%20of%20the%20instructions%20I%20thought%20it%20was%20too%20time%20consuming.%20However,%20as%20we%20know,%20anything%20worth%20having%20is%20worth%20the%20extra%20effort.%20This%20baby%20surely%20was.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThere%20are%20two%20parts%20to%20this%20cake;%20the%20chocolate%20cake%20itself%20and%20the%20flan.%20This%20was%20my%20first%20flan%20and%20it%20didn%E2%80%99t%20disappoint.%20The%20bottom%20of%20the%20bundt%20pan%20is%20coated%20in%20caramel%20sauce.%20What%20an%20awesome%20first%20step!%20Then%20the%20chocolate%20cake%20batter%20is%20scooped%20in.%20It%E2%80%99s%20kind%20of%20thick%20so%20an%20ice%20cream%20scoop%20makes%20it%20easier.%20After%20you%20smooth%20the%20batter%20into%20the%20pan%20the%20flan%20mixture%20which%20was%20prepared%20in%20a%20blender,%20is%20poured%20over%20the%20top.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20batter%20and%20the%20flan%20mixture%20did%20mingle%20slightly%20and%20was%20to%20be%20expected.%20The%20cake%20is%20then%20covered%20with%20foil%20and%20baked%20in%20a%20water%20bath.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20cake%20baked%20for%20approximately%2070%20minutes.%20After%20baking%20it%E2%80%99s%20removed%20from%20the%20water%20bath%20and%20left%20to%20cool%20in%20the%20pan%20at%20room%20temperature%20for%20an%20hour.%20After%20the%20cake%20is%20turned%20out%20onto%20a%20serving%20plate%20the%20caramel%20from%20the%20bottom%20of%20the%20pan%20drips%20all%20over%20it.%20At%20that%20point%20I%20knew%20an%20extra%2030%20minutes%20of%20exercise%20was%20in%20store%20today.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20directions%20suggest%20you%20let%20the%20cake%20chill%20in%20the%20fridge%20overnight%20for%20best%20results.%20Yeah%20right!%20I%20couldn%E2%80%99t%20wait%20until%20dinner%20was%20over%20to%20dive%20into%20this.%20The%20creamy%20lightness%20of%20the%20flan%20combined%20with%20the%20moist%20dense%20chocolate%20cake%20was/is%20over%20the%20top,%20do%20the%20happy%20dance%20fantastic.%20Can%20you%20tell%20I%20like%20it?%20The%20only%20thing%20I%20changed%20from%20the%20original%20recipe%20was%20to%20use%20Hershey%E2%80%99s%20Special%20Dark%20Cocoa%20for%20a%20deeper%20chocolate%20color%20and%20flavor.%20Please%20don%E2%80%99t%20wait%20until%20Cinco%20De%20Mayo%202015%20to%20make%20this.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20the%20interest%20of%20brevity%20and%20my%20sore%20wrists%20I%E2%80%99m%20going%20to%20just%20give%20you%20the%20link%20to%20the%20recipe.%20Take%20care!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EChocoflan%20Bundt%20%E2%80%93%20Food%20Network%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%E2%80%99ll%20be%20sharing%20this%20at%20some%20of%20my%20favorite%20link%20parties.%20Drop%20by%20and%20show%20them%20a%20little%20love!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWow%20Us%20Wednesday%E2%80%99s%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETablescape%20Thursday%E2%80%99s%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBeBetsy%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEveryday%20Home%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EInspire%20Me%20Tuesday%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%E2%80%99s%20Overflowing%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDIY%20by%20Design%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELiz%20Marie%20Blog%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
