Ingredientes

  • 125 g soft unsalted butter, plus more for greasing
  • 125 g sugar
  • 15 g malted milk powder, eg horlicks
  • 15 g cocoa powder
  • 125 ml boiling water
  • 125 ml buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 150 g flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

Direcciones

  1. preheat oven to 400 and butter the indentations in the tins
  2. melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat and add the sugar, stirring with spoon to dissolve into butter, turn off the heat
  3. put the malted milk powder and coca into a mug and whisk in the boi8ling water until smooth. add this liquid to the warm pan of butter and sugar stirring to combine
  4. to the emptied out mug add the buttermilk egg and vanilla and whisk together before stirring this mixture into the pan too
  5. finally whisk in the flour, soda and using a ladle for ease fill the bowl indentations with batter. there will be enough batter to fill 3/4 of the way
  6. put into the preheated oven for about 12 min. when they are cooked, they will feel gently boundcy if you press on the surface, sit the tin on a wire rack for 5 min before turning out the little bowls. fill while still just warm or when cooled as desired
