Ingredientes

  • For cake
  • 230g dark chocolate
  • 170g unsalted butter
  • 350g light brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 370g plain flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 500ml lactose free milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • For icing
  • 175g dark chocolate
  • 225g unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon lactose free milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Direcciones

  1. Melt the chocolate
  2. Cream butter and sugar together.
  3. Separate the yolk and the whites. Beat the yolks. Add these to the butter and the sugar.
  4. Add in the melted chocolate.
  5. Combine the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and salt in another bowl.
  6. Combine the milk and vanilla essence in a jar.
  7. Add a third of the flour mixture to the butter and sugar, along with a third of the milk mixture. Continue to do this until they are all mixed.
  8. In a clean bowl, whisk the egg whites until they make peaks.
  9. Fold these into the bake mixture, use a metal spoon.
  10. Divide the mixture between two cake tins. Line these with greaseproof paper if you wish.
  11. Bake in the oven at 170C for 30 minutes.
  12. For the icing
  13. Melt the chocolate.
  14. Beat the butter, milk, vanilla and icing sugar together.
  15. Add in the melted chocolate.
