Chocolate-Chunk Platter Cookies

Ingredientes

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese
  • 1 pkg packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 2 1/3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 pkg (12 oz.) semisweet chocolate chunks
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts or pecans

Direcciones

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 F.
  2. Lightly grease two 12-inch pizza pans.
  3. In a large bowl using an electric mixer, cream the butter, cream cheese, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
  4. Add the eggs
  5. Beat at high speed until fluffy
  6. In another bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and salt
  7. Add to the creamed mixture
  8. Mix until the dough is stiff
  9. Stir in the chocolate chunks and walnuts
  10. Divide the dough in half
  11. Press each half evenly into the prepared pan
  12. Press the top down with a fork dipped in water
  13. Bake for 20-25 or until light brown around the edges and is firm in the center
  14. Cool in the pan on a wire rack
  15. Cut into the wedges
