Ingredientes

  • 5 ounce Sweetened condensed lowfat milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 c. Powdered sugar
  • 14 ounce Premium shredded or possibly flaked coconut
  • 1 pkt Semisweet chocolate chips - (24 ounce)

Direcciones

  1. Blend condensed lowfat milk and vanilla. Slowly add in powdered sugar, stirring till smooth. Stir in coconut. The mix should be stiff.
  2. Pat mix firmly into a greased 9- by 13- by 2-inch pan. Chill till hard.
  3. In a microwave or possibly a double boiler over warm (not boiling) water, heat chocolate, stirring often. Remove coconut mix from refrigerator; cut into 1- by 2-inch bars.
  4. Set each coconut bar on a fork; dip into chocolate. Tap fork against side of pan or possibly bowl to remove excess chocolate. Transfer bars to waxed paper. Air-dry at cold room temperature (below 70 degrees). This could take several hrs. To speed up the process, chill for 30 min.
  5. Yield: 36 bars (3 dozen).
  6. Tester's note: These are quite time-consuming to prepare. Keep the chocolate hot while you are dipping.
