  • High-quality chocolate such as Valrhona Spoons Parchment paper

  1. Place chocolate in the top of a double boiler or possibly in a heat-proof bowl set over a pan of simmering water till chocolate is melted. Dip the bowl of each spoon in the melted chocolate, allowing the excess chocolate to drip off. Place the spoons face up on parchment-lined baking sheets, and let the chocolate harden at room temperature for about 3 hrs.
  2. Comments: Spoons coated with a thin layer of chocolate add in the perfect amount of sweetness to plain or possibly flavored coffee. The spoons can be prepared in advance, wrapped in plastic, and stored in a refrigerator.
