Chocolate Heart Shape Cake
When I saw Hearty Bakes posted her Chocolate Buttons recipe, I immediately fell in love with it and told myself I'm going to make them for my friend's birthday. Since my dear friend loves anything in heart shape, I decided to use Sarah's silicone mould (SiliconeMoulds.Com & here) to make this cute Heart Shape Chocolate Cake for her birthday that is today. You may wonder how come my cake looked so patchy and black. Hmmm ... well, I'd actually used valrhona cocoa powder and already reduced the cocoa powder to 35g instead of 55g and I didn't make swirl, just pipe the plain and dark batter alternately in the moulds and this was how it turned out .... hahaa ... don't judge by the outward appearance, the cake was soft and the dark chocolate gave a strong fragrant flavour. Anyway make sure you check on this beautiful post at Hearty Bakes, you'll definitely agree with me that her pictures of the Chocolate Buttons are very pretty.
