You may think that a Chocolate Lavender Bundt sounds like a baking experiment gone wrong, but it isn’t. The theme for the #BundtBakers this month is flowers. Our host this is Wendy from A Day in the Life on the Farm.

This cake is my third time baking with lavender. The first time I used a lavender cordial and the second a chocolate layer cake filled with a chocolate lavender mousse. As one would expect baking with lavender essential oil can go very well or be a disaster. It’s very easy to go from an exotic taste to, “OMG, I’m eating perfume!”
