%20was%20a%20British%20hot%20drink%20of%20milk,%20often%20spiced%20and%20flavoured%20with%20wine%20or%20ale,%20which%20was%20popular%20from%20medieval%20times%20to%20the%2019th%20century.%E2%80%9D%20In%20the%20Middle%20Ages,%20it%20was%20a%20drink%20used%20as%20a%20cold%20and%20flu%20remedy.%20%20The%20word%20%E2%80%9Cposset%E2%80%9D%20is%20mostly%20used%20nowadays%20for%20a%20related%20dessert%20similar%20to%20syllabub%20(that%E2%80%99s%20new%20to%20me%20as%20well),%20which%20is%20curdled%20by%20the%20addition%20of%20wine,%20cider,%20or%20other%20acid,%20and%20often%20sweetened%20and%20flavoured%20and%20resembles%20like%20mousse.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20above%20recipe%20had%20heavy%20cream%20and%20since%20I%20was%20too%20tired%20to%20go%20out%20and%20buy%20some,%20I%20decided%20to%20use%20the%20low-fat%20cream%20I%20already%20had%20at%20home.%20%20However,%20I%20was%20skeptical%20if%20the%20dessert%20would%20eventually%20set%20properly.%20%20Various%20alternative%20scenarios%20passed%20from%20my%20mind,%20from%20adding%20butter%20to%20the%20cream%20and%20chocolate%20mixture%20or%20adding%20egg%20yolks%20or%20even%20gelatin%20to%20set%20the%20cream.%20%20I%20have%20curdled%20milk%20in%20the%20past%20when%20making%20%E2%80%9Challoumi%20and%20anari%E2%80%9D%20and%20%E2%80%9CIndian%20paneer%E2%80%9D%20so%20I%20decided%20to%20risk%20it,%20and%20I%20was%20really%20curious%20to%20see%20if%20it%20would%20set%20by%20just%20using%20light%20cream.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20decided%20to%20take%20the%20risk%20and%20go%20for%20it.%20%20I%20know%20that%20you%20can%E2%80%99t%20make%20anything%20new%20and%20amazing%20if%20you%20don%E2%80%99t%20take%20some%20risks.%20%20I%E2%80%99ve%20had%20my%20share%20of%20failures%20while%20experimenting%20but%20that%20is%20the%20most%20exciting%20part%20of%20cooking,%20at%20least%20for%20me.%20%20Fortunately,%20the%20lemon%20juice%20did%20its%20trick%20again.%20%20You%20cannot%20imagine%20how%20amazing%20it%20was%20to%20see%20the%20cream%20thicken%20before%20my%20eyes,%20as%20it%20began%20to%20cool.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20decided%20to%20improvise%20further%20and%20make%20something%20unique,%20using%20Savoyard%20biscuits%20I%20had%20at%20home.%20%20%20I%20wet%20them%20in%20a%20Strawberry%20Liqueur%20I%20had%20made%20some%20years%20back,%20which%20gave%20an%20amazing%20flavour%20which%20matched%20with%20the%20chocolate.%20%20Don%E2%80%99t%20get%20discouraged%20if%20you%20don%E2%80%99t%20have%20this%20particular%20liqueur.%20You%20can%20use%20cointreau,%20limoncello,%20cherry%20liqueur%20etc.%20which%20also%20match%20well%20with%20chocolate%20and%20lemon.%20%20The%20decoration%20on%20top%20is%20optional.%20%20If%20the%20dessert%20was%20made%20in%20Spring,%20I%20would%20probably%20have%20used%20fresh%20strawberries%20but%20I%20wanted%20something%20red%20on%20top%20and%20quince%20is%20seasonal%20and%20you%20know%20how%20much%20I%20love%20using%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EInitially,%20I%20was%20planning%20to%20put%20layers%20of%20Savoyard%20biscuits%20in%20a%20Pyrex%20dish,%20alternating%20it%20with%20cream%20and%20more%20biscuits%20on%20top%20but%20when%20I%20finished%20the%20cream,%20%20I%20was%20still%20afraid%20it%20might%20not%20set%20properly,%20so%20%20I%20decided%20to%20make%20the%20dessert%20in%20bowls.%20By%20the%20time%20I%20had%20everything%20ready%20and%20was%20pouring%20the%20cream%20in%20the%20bowls,%20it%20had%20already%20started%20setting.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20scrumptious%20dessert%20was%20luscious%20and%20amazed%20everyone%20of%20us:%20%20its%20sweet,%20sour,%20salty%20and%20bitter%20ingredients,%20all%20well%20combined%20together%20formed%20an%20amazing%20combination%20of%20flavour.%20%20%20I%20heard%20lots%20of%20mmmms%20and%20other%20exclamations%20of%20delight%20from%20my%20family,%20who%20love%20desserts%20on%20the%20sweet%20side.%20%20Personally,%20I%20don%E2%80%99t%20like%20desserts%20to%20be%20overly%20sweet%20but%20the%20combination%20I%20made%20was%20out%20of%20the%20world%20amazing%20and%20although%20sweet,%20I%20kept%20wanting%20more!%20%20I%20will%20surely%20be%20making%20this%20cream%20again%20as%20the%20possiblities%20of%20using%20it%20in%20other%20desserts%20are%20endless%20and%20already%20can%20vision%20some%20twists%20to%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EChocolate-Lemon%20Posset%20with%20Savoyard%20Biscuits%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreparation%20time:%20%2015%20minutes%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECooking%20time:%20%2010%20minutes%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServes:%20%206%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20the%20cream%20over%20a%20double%20boiler%20and%20mix%20until%20the%20chocolate%20melts.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhisk%20the%20condensed%20milk%20with%20the%20lemon%20juice.%20%20Add%20the%20lemon%20zest,%20salt%20and%20melted%20chocolate%20and%20mix%20to%20combine.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20%C2%BC%20cup%20chocolate%20mixture%20into%206%20bowls.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWet%20the%20Savoyard%20(lady%20fingers)%20in%20the%20liqueur%20and%20cut%20two%20lady%20fingers%20into%208%20pieces,%20for%20each%20bowl.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EM
