Chocolate Marscapone

Who doesn’t love chocolate covered strawberries? Well here is a slight variation which, in my opinion, is even better.

Ingredientes

  • 2 pounds strawberries, washed
  • 8 ounces marscapone cheese
  • 3 tablespoons confectioners sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 7.25 ounce bottle chocolate shell topping
  • 80 toothpicks

Direcciones

  1. Trim the tops off of the strawberries.
  2. Slice down length of the strawberries.
  3. Hollow out the center with a slender knife similar to that pictured above.
  4. Mix the marscapone, sugar and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Fill each of the hollowed out strawberries with the marscapone mxture. Use a small spatula/scraper to fill and smooth the surface flat.
  6. Place on a cookie sheet and put in the freezer for 30 minutes.
  7. Shake the shell topping well and squirt some into a flat, small saucer or plate.
  8. Using a toothpick dip each strawberry into the shell topping. (Dip the cheese filled surface into the chocolate.) Let drip for a few seconds and place in a container or on a cookie sheet.
  9. Replenish the saucer as necessary.
