- Put together sugar, lowfat milk, cocoa, and syrup in a heavy sauce pan. Cook, stirring constantly till sugar dissolves. Add in 2 T butter, stir till well blended. Bring to a boil; cover and boil 3 min. Uncover and keep boiling till candy thermometer reaches 234°F. Remove from heat, add in remaining butter, nuts, peanut butter and vanilla. Cool slightly. Beat till smooth. Pour into a greased 9 inch square pan.
