Receta Chocolate Peppermint Dipped Oreos (12 Days of Giveaways)
by Erin S

Today is the last day of the 12 Days of Giveaways I hope that you all enjoyed the fun prizes. There are still a couple days to enter some of them. Go check out my Cashew Chicken (Calphalon $300 Cookware Set), Gingerbread Men Cookies (Cake Boss $260 Baking Set), Peanut Butter Cup Fudge ($250 Freund Containers and cookbook), Triple Chocolate Muffins (2 year Cooking Light Subscription) and my Homemade Caramels (Swissmar Roasting pan). Those are some seriously great prizes up for grabs, I really hope one of you wins! Today OXO has a whole bunch of goodies for you to win. My kitchen is stocked with OXO gadgets, so I am really excited about this one!

I asked on Facebook awhile ago what kind of recipes you wanted to see this holiday season. A few responded with something easy for the non-bakers. Well this is one of them! The Peanut Butter Cup Fudge is super easy too, by the way. When my parents were here for Thanksgiving I was asking my Dad what he wanted for Christmas. This is the man who has everything, so it is really hard to shop for him. He responded with “those peppermint and chocolate covered Oreos would be good.” We all gave him a really hard time about this. I am pretty sure you don’t go to the store and buy your dad a bag of cookies as his Christmas gift. Somehow that just seems wrong! But you can make your own version at home as part of his gift, right?

We are actually celebrating Christmas with my parents in January this year. So I stashed a few of these in the freezer for when they get here. I might have to wrap them up as a joke, but really they are just for the cookie tray All you have to do is melt some chocolate, add in a little bit of peppermint extract and start dipping. I topped mine with a few crushed candy canes for looks, but it isn’t necessary. I did a mix of white and chocolate, you can do which ever you choose. You could even use different varieties of Oreo’s – the mint or red Christmas ones would be perfect. I went with the regular Double Stuffed ones.
