- Mix 1/2 cup buttermilk, 1/2 cup lowfat milk and 1 tsp vinegar and let sit 5 min.Mix together sugar and flour; set aside. Bring to a boil: butter, cocoa, shortening and water. Pour over dry ingredients and mix well. Add in large eggs, soda, buttermilk and vanilla; stir. Pour into 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 min.
- FROSTING: Add in sugar, lowfat milk, and butter. Bring ingredients to a boil for 30 seconds. Remove from heat, stirring over cold water (pan in sink). Add in chocolate, beat till melted, about 1 minute. Spread on cake.
