- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Lightly butter 13- by 9- by 2-inch metal baking pan. Heat butter and chocolate in heavy medium saucepan over low heat, stirring till chocolate mix is smooth. Cold.
- Using electric mixer, beat Large eggs and sugar in large bowl till light and fluffy. Beat in chocolate mix, vanilla and salt. Add in flour; beat just till blended. Pour batter into prepared pan, smoothing top. Sprinkle top with walnuts.
- Bake till tester inserted into center comes out with crumbs attached, about 35 min. Transfer pan to rack; cold completely.
- Cut brownies into squares; serve.
- This recipe yields 24 brownies.
