Receta Chow Chow Sambar
Ingredients:
Chow Chow – 1, peeled, chopped
- Toor Dal – 2 tblsp, boiled
- Coconut Milk – 1 tblsp, thick
- Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Sambar Powder – 2 tsp
- Coriander Leaves – 2 tsp, chopped
- Tamarind Extract – 1 cup
- Salt as per taste
- Oil as required
- For tempering:
- Fenugreek Seeds – 1/4 tsp
- Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Green Chillies – 2
Method:
1. Heat a pan over medium flame.
2. Add the tamarind extract, salt, turmeric powder and sambar powder.
3. Add chow chow pieces and bring to a boil.
4. Add the toor dal, coconut milk and simmer for a minute or two.
5. Remove the pan from flame.
6. Heat little oil in a frying pan.
7. Fry the tempering ingredients for 30 seconds and pour over the sambar.
8. Garnish with coriander leaves.
