Ingredientes

  • 5 lb plum tomatoes peeled, seeded, and cut up
  • 5 x sweet red peppers cut up
  • 5 lrg onions cut up
  • 3 x jalapeno peppers - (to 5) minced
  • 5 x garlic cloves chopped
  • 2 can minced green chilies - (4 1/2 ounce ea)
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp grnd black pepper
  • 1/2 c. balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp grnd coriander
  • 1 tsp minced cilantro
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • 1 Tbsp. dry parsley flakes (or possibly 2 tbspns minced fresh parsley)
  • 2 c. ketchup

Direcciones

  1. Simmer all ingredients together about an hour, till thick. Put in warm, clean jars and seal. Let cold completely; chill.
  2. Comments: Some salsas are more like a sauce. I like mine chunky. I make this and give it as a gift. I put a jar of salsa and a bag of tortilla chips in a basket. I'm often asked for the recipe after people taste it."
