Ingredientes

  • 2 x bananas see * Note
  • 1 Tbsp. safflower oil
  • 1/3 c. dark rum
  • 2 Tbsp. molasses
  • 1 Tbsp. unsalted butter melted
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 scoop vanilla ice cream
  • 1/4 c. pistachios shelled
  • 4 x lime wedges

Direcciones

  1. Note: Bananas should be a little hard for this dish.
  2. In a small sauce pan, over medium heat, whisk together rum, molasses, butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Simmer for 3 to 4 min, till well-blended. Be careful, as rum will most likely ignite.
  3. Rub the bananas (cut in half lengthwise) with oil. Grill each side, over medium heat, for about 2 min.
  4. Place bananas on separate serving dishes with a scoop of ice cream, drizzle a little sauce over bananas, sprinkle a few pistachios on top and garnish with a wedge of lime.
  5. This recipe yields 4 servings.
