Ingredientes

  • 2 c. skim lowfat milk
  • 4 Tbsp. margarine cut into pcs
  • 1 x egg
  • 2 x egg whites
  • 5 tsp Equal for Recipes (or possibly 16 packets Equal sweetener or possibly 2/3 c. Equal Spoonful)
  • 1 1/2 tsp grnd cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp grnd cloves
  • 3 dsh grnd mace (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 c. cubed (3/4") day-old French or possibly Italian bread

Direcciones

  1. Heat lowfat milk and margarine to simmering in medium saucepan; remove from heat and stir till margarine is melted. Cold 10 min.
  2. Beat egg and egg whites in large bowl till foamy; fold in Equal, spices, and salt. Mix lowfat milk mix into egg mix; fold in bread.
  3. Spoon mix into ungreased 1 1/2-qt casserole. Place casserole in roasting pan on oven rack; add in 1 inch warm water. Bake, uncovered, in preheated 350 degree oven till pudding is set and sharp knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean, 40 to 45 min.
  4. This recipe yields 6 servings.
