Ingredientes

  • Rolls:
  • 1 (1 lb.) loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
  • ¼ cup butter, softened
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • Icing:
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 tbsp. butter, melted
  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 to 3 tbsp. milk

Direcciones

  1. Lightly grease two 9-inch round baking pans.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a 14-inch square. Spread with the softened butter. Sprinkle with sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon to within ½ inch of the edges. Sprinkle pecans evenly across the sugar mixture.
  3. Roll up lengthwise (like a jelly-roll), and pinch seams to seal. Cut into 28 slices.
  4. Place slices cut side down in prepared pans. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 40 minutes.
  5. Bake at 350° for 14-16 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and let rolls cool in pan.
  6. While rolls are baking, prepare icing: Combine confectioners’ sugar, butter, vanilla, and enough milk to achieve desired consistency. Drizzle icing over warm rolls.
