Receta Classic Cooked Egg Nog

- In a large saucepan, beat together Large eggs, sugar and salt, if you like. Stir in 2 c. of the lowfat milk. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, till mix is thick sufficient to coat a metal spoon and reaches 160 degrees F. Remove from heat. Stir in remaining 2 c. lowfat milk and vanilla. Cover and chill till thoroughly chilled, several hrs or possibly overnight. Just before serving, pour into a bowl or possibly pitcher. Garnish or possibly add in stir-ins, if you like. Serve immdiately.
- Note: for faster preparation, heat lowfat milk till very hot before stirring lowfat milk into Large eggs and sugar.
