I have to admit, it’s been a while since I’ve been really, really excited about a seasoning mix. I tend to be pretty picky about that sort of thing, and lately, my mojo has been just a little off in that department. Until now anyway…

This all purpose mix is wonderful for everything from seasoning chicken breasts to adding to soups, bread dough or even breading mixtures. Use it any time you want to add a little Italian flare to a dish. Just smelling this got me all excited about the possibilities.

Anywhere a recipe calls for Italian Herb, or Italian seasoning, this is the substitute to use! It’s basically the same thing, but it has some extra “yum factor” added. And I’m all about the yum factor…

Directions:

Combine all spices together in a mixing bowl.

You can use it as is, but I find it is a lot more effective for certain dishes if you grind it to a finer consistency. I have a coffee bean grinder that I reserve for just herbs and it works like a dream.

If grinding, grind for less than 30 seconds to get a finer consistency as shown in the photo above.

Preparation time: 5 minutes – If you have all the spices in your cabinet already.
