Receta Coc Cola Chicken Wings
Now that all the Christmas stuff is put away and another year is behind us,
I thought I would try and fit in a few appetizer posts before the Superbowl.
It is a series of appetizers I will post the next couple of Tuesday's leading up to the Superbowl.
Isn't that nice of me?
So this will be the first of a few bites I will feature this month.
These wings are really good. They are sweet with that soy taste that I love.
These are different from the ordinary buffalo wings so many people make for game night.
Why not change things up a bit and serve wings that won't blow your head off?
Just saying.
- Coca Cola Chicken Wings
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- (wings and drummettes separated)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons dry sherry or rice wine (optional)
- 3/4 cup Coca-Cola
- chopped chives and black sesame seeds for garnish
Directions
Put the chicken wings in a zip lock bag and pour half the soy sauce on top. Smoosh the wings around in the bag until they are well-coated. Allow them to marinade for 10- 15 minutes at room temperature.
Heat a wok or large skillet over medium-heat. Saute the chicken wings until they are golden brown on each side about 8 minutes. Pour the remaining soy, sherry and coke into the wok. Bring the liquid to a simmer. Simmer the wings for 15- 20 minutes, until the liquid is reduced to a glaze.
Transfer the chicken to a plate, garnish with chives and serve.

Peace be with you,
