Ingredientes

  • 2 1/2 c. Boiling water
  • 2 c. Quick rolled oats
  • 3 c. Flour
  • 1 tsp Soda
  • 7 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 c. Butter
  • 2 c. Granulated sugar
  • 2 c. Brown sugar
  • 4 x Large eggs
  • 1/2 c. Butter
  • 1/2 c. Heavy cream
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 c. Brown sugar
  • 2 2/3 c. Coconut

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cake: Pour boiling water over oats and allow to stand. Sift flour1 soda, baking pwdr, salt and cinnamon. Cream butter and sugars till light and fluffy. Beat in Large eggs. Alternate flour mix and cooled oats, mixing well.
  3. Pour into greased and floured cake pan. Bake till cake springs back and toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Topping: Place all ingredients in a heavy saucepan and heat, stirring, to boiling, Pour proportionately over cake and broil till toasted.
