Colonial Wassail
This is another recipe for Wassail that I make in the Crock Pot. I like making Wassail for the Holidays in crock pots because they are then self serve and nice and warm! Here in Northern WI, we like to drink things that will warm us up when it's cold outside!
- 1 750-ml bottle Dry Red Wine (Burgundy) or Sweet Red Wine
- 2 cups Cranberry Juice
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup Apple Juice
- 1/4 cup Lemon Juice, fresh squeezed
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1/4 cup Brandy
In crock pot combine red wine, cranberry juice, sugar, juice, lemon juice, cinnamon sticks and brandy.
Heat on Heat for 1 hour
Turn to Low and keep warm.
