%20cousin%20Nathan,%20a%20very%20accomplished%20student%20and%20athlete%20is%20leaving%20his%20high%20school%20years%20behind%20and%20entering%20this%20new%20phase%20of%20his%20life%20w/%20enthusiasm,%20faith%20and%20a%20determination%20that%20is%20second%20to%20none.%20Nathan%20has%20over%20come%20quite%20a%20bit%20in%20his%20short%2018%20years%20growing%20into%20one%20of%20the%20most%20inspirational,%20talented,%20&%20capable%20young%20men%20I've%20ever%20known.%20(Can%20you%20tell%20I%20love%20this%20kid??)%20Nathan%20was%20about%205%20when%20Adam%20and%20I%20started%20dating,%20so%20I%20fee%20like%20I've%20been%20watching%20him%20grow%20up%20before%20my%20eyes,%20and%20it's%20been%20a%20pleasure%20and%20an%20adventure!%20He%20is%20very%20special%20to%20me%20and%20I%20treasure%20the%20relationship%20we%20have!%20So%20today's%20post%20is%20in%20honor%20of%20him,%20b/c%20according%20to%20Nathan,%20I%20make%20the%20best%20deviled%20eggs%20EVER!%20(He%20even%20told%20his%20grandma%20once%20to%20get%20my%20recipe%20b/c%20mine%20were%20better!!!%20Oops...)%20I%20guess%20everyone%20needs%20to%20know%20what%20his/her%20forte%20is,%20and%20mine%20is%20a%20mean%20deviled%20egg:)%20Actually,%20it's%20not%20just%20Nathan%20that%20thinks%20so,%20my%20father%20and%20brothers%20in%20law%20have%20been%20known%20to%20request%20these%20for%20family%20meals/holidays.%20At%20Christmas%20time,%20they%20actually%20fought%20over%20them%20and%20counted%20to%20see%20who%20was%20getting%20more.%20It%20wasn't%20pretty,%20let%20me%20tell%20you.%20I%20don't%20even%20know%20how%20these%20became%20my%20speciality,%20but%20I'm%20ok%20w/%20it.%20Hey,%20they're%20pretty%20easy%20and%20after%20making%20them%20so%20many%20times,%20I%20have%20it%20down%20to%20a%20science%20and%20it's%20a%20pretty%20quick%20process.%20Nathan%20doesn't%20know%20it%20yet,%20but%20I'm%20surprising%20him%20by%20taking%20some%20to%20his%20graduation%20party%20today;%20and%20I'm%20hoping%20the%20rest%20of%20the%20guests%20get%20some%20and%20it's%20not%20just%20him,%20w/%20the%20tray%20hiding%20some%20where!%20So,%20Congratulations%20Nathan!!!!%20You%20have%20only%20begun%20to%20be%20the%20success%20we%20know%20you%20will%20be--we%20are%20so%20very%20proud%20of%20you%20and%20can't%20wait%20to%20see%20what%20you%20do%20next!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20eggs%20in%20a%20large%20stock%20pot,%20cover%20w/%20COLD%20water%20and%20bring%20to%20a%20boil.%20Boil%20for%2013%20minutes.%20Drain%20and%20rinse%20w/%20cold%20water%20for%205%20minutes.%20Place%20in%20fridge%20over%20night.%20(This%20step%20is%20very%20important.%20The%20colder%20the%20egg,%20the%20easier%20they%20will%20peel%20and%20have%20a%20better%20flavor)%20Peel%20all%20eggs%20and%20separate%20yolks%20from%20whites.%20Cut%20each%20egg%20in%20half.%20Mash%20yolks,%20or%20place%20in%20food%20processor%20to%20make%20extra%20fine.%20Add%20mayo,%20mustard%20salt%20and%20pepper.%20Mix%20until%20smooth.%20Adjust%20to%20your%20taste.%20Place%20yolk%20mixture%20in%20a%20small%20storage%20bag%20and%20cut%20off%20tip%20(You're%20making%20your%20own%20pastry%20bag)%20Squeezing%20the%20bag,%20fill%20each%20egg%20half%20w/%20yolk%20mixture.%20Sprinkle%20w/%20paprika.%20(If%20you%20are%20not%20serving%20these%20right%20away,%20only%20put%20paprika%20on%20the%20yolk.%20It%20will%20discolor%20the%20white%20if%20left)%20Chill%20until%20serving.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*NOTE*%20The%20amounts%20of%20mustard%20and%20mayo%20are%20a%20personal%20taste.%20Start%20w/%20these%20amounts%20and%20you%20can%20always%20add%20more.%20Also,%20I%20know%20boiling%20eggs%20is%20pretty%20basic,%20but%20after%20many%20tries,%20this%20is%20the%20method%20I've%20found%20to%20be%20the%20absolute%20best%20for%20this%20recipe.%20Once%20boiled,%20the%20longer%20they%20are%20chilled,%20the%20better.%20This%20time,%20I%20boiled%20mine%20on%20Friday,%20deviled%20on%20Saturday%20and%20served%20on%20Sunday.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEgg%20Yolk%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
