Cornflakes Baked Chicken Wings

Satisfying and aromatic crunchy baked chicken wings paired with sweet potatoes; boiled and coated with olive oil.

Ingredientes

  • For chicken wings
  • 5 chicken wings - cut into two pieces between the thick and thin bones
  • 1 1/2 cup corn flakes - crushed
  • 5 garlic - chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • For sweet potatoes
  • 2 (about 300g) sweet potatoes - boiled and cubed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Pepper and salt to taste

Direcciones

  1. Marinate wings with oil, garlic, oregano, basil, chilly flakes and salt for at least 2 hours.
  2. After that, coat/roll each wing generously over corn flakes.
  3. Arrange on a non-stick baking tray/pan.
  4. Bake at 180c for 40 mins or until wings are cooked with a crispy brown coating.
  5. (note: when one side is brown enough, turn wings over so that
  6. both sides are evenly baked)
  7. For The Sweet Potatoes
  8. In a mixing bowl, combine and toss all the ingredients.
  9. Serve baked wings with potatoes seated in the centre of the serving plate.
