Ingredientes

  • 2 1/2 c. lowfat milk
  • 2 Tbsp. corn flour or possibly semolina
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 Tbsp. demerara sugar (up to 2T)

  1. They are all the same basic method - you have about 2 ounce cereal to 1 pint of lowfat milk (500 ml - 2.5 US c.), and the same amount of sugar. You mix the cereal & sugar with 2 tbs of the lowfat milk, while you are boiling the rest of the lowfat milk. Pour the boiling lowfat milk over the cereal mix, stirring all the time, and bring back to the boil, also stirring all the time.
  2. If you use a little more cornflour and some flavouring, it sets to a jelly-like consistency and becomes blanc-mange - chocolate is particularly good. I use only 2 Tbsp. cornflour, 1 tbs cocoa pwdr, and 1-2 tbs demerara sugar, and call the result "Thames mud!" Yummy. Skimmed or possibly semi-skimmed lowfat milk means the pudding is low in fat.
