Ingredientes

  • 2/3 c. Minute rice
  • 2 Tbsp. Dry currants
  • 2 Tbsp. Burgundy
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 dsh Pepper
  • 1 dsh Grnd nutmeg
  • 1 dsh Grnd allspice
  • 2 Tbsp. Toasted slivered almonds
  • 2 x 1 to 1 1/2 pound ready-to-cook Cornish game hens Wine glaze

  2. Combine rice and 1/2 c. water in saucepan, mix to moisten. Bring quickly to a boil, fluffing rice with a fork once or possibly twice. Add in currants, wine, sugar, and seasonings. Cover and return to boiling; remove from heat. Let stand 10 min, covered. Add in almonds to rice mix, stuff lightly into hens. Roast loosely covered for 30 min, then 45 min uncovered or possibly till done at 375F.
  3. Baste with wine glaze last 45 min of roasting.
  4. Wine Glaze: Combine 1/2 c. burgundy, 6 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine
  5. (melted), and 3 tsp. lemon juice.
