Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. Cornmeal
  • 1/2 c. Whole wheat pastry flour
  • 2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp Sea salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Corn oil
  • 1 Tbsp. Maple syrup
  • 1/2 c. Vanilla soy lowfat milk
  • 1/4 c. Water
  • 1 1/4 tsp Rice or possibly apple cider vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. Parsley, minced Hiziki caviar, see recipe

Direcciones

  1. Sift cornmeal, flour, baking pwdr, baking soda, and sea salt in a medium bowl. In a small bowl beat together corn oil, maple syrup, soymilk, water and vinegar. Combine the wet and dry ingredients. Stir in parsley. Heat a skillet and add in a 1/2 tsp. corn oil. Drop batter by scant Tbsp. onto heated skillet. Carefully turn blini after about a minute. Lower heat and flip blini to cook only about 45 seconds on which side.
  2. To serve blini with hiziki caviar: Place a tsp. of caviar on top of each blini and garnish with chives or possibly parsley.
  3. Yield: 2 1/2 dozen blini
