Ingredientes

  • 1 qt Cornmeal
  • 1 qt Sharp Cheddar, Shredded
  • 1/2 qt Spanish Onion, Peeled and Diced
  • 1/2 qt Bell Peppers, Wash, De-Seed, Dice
  • 1 Tbsp Salt
  • 1/2 Tbsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 3/4 qt Water, Boiling
  • Hot Sauce

Direcciones

  1. In a bowl combine cornmeal, cheddar, onion, bell pepper, salt, and cayenne.
  2. Stir in boiling water and mix thoroughly.
  3. Drop 6 small ice cream scoops of batter into the oil and fry for 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. Transfer fritters to paper towels, or perforated pan to drain. Season with additional if desired.
  5. Serve with hot sauce.
