Ingredientes

  • 1 qt cornmeal
  • 1 qt cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 qt Spanish onions, peel, dice
  • 1/2 qt bell peppers, wash, de-seed, dice
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 1/2 Tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 3/4 qt boiling water
  • hot sauce

Direcciones

  1. In a bowl combine cornmeal, cheddar, onion, pepper, salt, and cayenne.
  2. Stir in boiling water and mix thoroughly.
  3. Drop 6 small ice cream scoops of batter into oil and fry for 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. Transfer fritters to paper towels or perforated pan to drain.
  5. Serve with hot sauce.
