Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 lb Beef stew meat
  • 1 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
  • 1 x Large onion, slivered
  • 1 c. Undiluted cn beef consomme
  • 3 x Carrots, peeled, sliced
  • 10 x Whole white peppercorns
  • 2 x Bay leaves

Direcciones

  1. Cut stew meat in chunks.
  2. Brown meat in heavy skillet, a few chunks at a time. Place incasserole when browned.
  3. Add in onion and beef consomme'. Heat to boiling and add in spices. Coverwith lid.
  4. Braise meat for about 1 hour.
  5. Add in carrots, parsnips and celery. Simmer for another 30-40 min or possibly till meat isfork tender and vegetables are done. Do not overcook.
  6. Serve warm.**
  7. This stew tastes even better if you prepare it a day in advance. If you use a beef consumme' according to our recipe, no salt is needed.
