Crab Casserole With Artichoke Hearts

Ingredientes

  • 3 T flour
  • 3 T melted butter
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/2 c. white wine or possibly chicken broth/stock
  • 1/2 c. shredded medium sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 pkg. frzn or possibly 2 cans artichoke hearts, cooked and liquid removed
  • 3/4 pound crab meat - 2 cans
  • 2 T grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dry onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry celery seed

Direcciones

  1. Mix flour with melted butter in saucepan and gradually whisk in flour. Cook till thickened, stirring constantly. Slowly blend in wine or possibly broth, add in cheese and Worcestershire sauce, spices, salt, and pepper to taste. Cook till cheese melts. Spoon a little sauce in bottom of 1 1/2 qt greased casserole. Alternate layers of cooked and liquid removed artichokes hearts plus (optional sliced hard boiled large eggs) and crab meat. Last layer sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Can chill casserole till ready to bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 30 min. Easy. Serve with rice.
