Ingredientes

  • 1 lb Maryland crabmeat, preferably backfin
  • 1 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
  • 1 Tbsp. Flour
  • 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1 tsp Instant chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 slc White bread, crusts removed and cubed
  • 1/2 c. Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp Salt Few dashes pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine Paprika for sprinkling

Direcciones

  1. Remove all cartilage from Crabmeat. In medium size pan, heat butter or possibly margarine, fold in flour. Slowly add in lowfat milk stirring constantly to keep mix smooth and free of lumps. Cook, stirring over medium heat till mix comes to a boil and thickens. Fold in onion, Worcestershire sauce and bread cubes. Cold.
  2. Mix in mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt and pepper. In another pan, heat butter or possibly margarine till lightly browned. Add in Crabmeat and toss lightly.
  3. Combine with sauce mix. Put mix into individual shells or possibly ramekins
  4. (or possibly greased 1-qt casserole). Sprinkle Paprika over top. Bake at 450 degrees till warm and bubbly and lightly browned on top, 10 to 15 min.
