Ingredientes

  • Butter
  • 2 Tbsp. Bell pepper, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. Pimiento, minced
  • 9 Tbsp. Flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 dsh White pepper
  • 1 dsh Paprika
  • 3 c. Lowfat milk
  • 3 med Egg yolks, beaten
  • 1 1/2 tsp Dry mustard
  • 1/2 c. Capers
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 Tbsp. Mayonnaise
  • 3 lb Crab

  1. Isn't this a wonderful old fashioned and much loved Maryland recipe for Crab Imperial. Once in awhile it's just worth the extra calories. Terry
  2. About an hour before serving:1. Saute/fry green pepper and pimiento in butter 3 to 5 min.
  3. Make the white sauce. Heat the over to 350F.
  4. Add in rest of ingredients to white sauce except 1/2 of the mayonnaise.
  5. Turn crabmeat mix into well-greased 2 1/2 qt casserole. Spread top with the remaining 3 Tbsp. of mayonnaise. Bake about 30 min.
