Ingredientes

  • 1 lb Flaked crabmeat
  • 1 can (1 lb., 11 ounces) Jalapeno peppers
  • 2 Tbsp. Each, finely minced green pepper, onions, and dill pickle
  • 1/4 c. Cracker meal
  • 1 x Beaten egg
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1 x Clove chopped garlic
  • 1/4 c. Lowfat milk
  • 2 c. Cracker meal
  • 1 c. Mils
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1/4 tsp Each salt and pepper

  1. Texas Agricultural Extension Service.
  2. Cut peppers in half lengthwise. Throw away pulp and seeds and rinse carefully.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine remaining ingredients, except breading mix. Stuff pepper halves with crab mix and press stuffing around pepper. Set peppers aside.
  4. To prepare breading mix: Place 2 c. cracker meal in a flat pan. In a separate pan, mix 1 c. mils, 2 Large eggs and 1/4 tsp. each salt and pepper.
  5. Dip peppers in egg mix, then in cracker meal. Repeat procedure.
  6. Deep fry at 365 degrees (F) till golden. Drain on paper towels.
  7. Makes 30 hors d'oeuvre.
